My child's baby tooth fell out and it is still bleeding. What should I do?

Have your child bite down on clean, folded gauze or cloth over the bleeding area for 15 minutes. Repeat once if necessary. If bleeding continues, give us a call.

What Should I Expect When My Child Loses a Tooth?

There will be a little amount of blood, but it’s just from the tooth leaving the body. It should clot and heal quickly. Your child may have sore gums over the next few days, whether it’s from cutting their adult tooth in or from the baby tooth falling out. This discomfort shouldn’t last forever. Tylenol and ice work great to help them through this discomfort.
